Q. Is an appointment required to view wedding preview albums?
A. Yes, an appointment is always required as much time is spent with each individual couple.
Q. What will happen on my wedding day?
A. Two photographers will be taking pictures as they occur. We will capture the events as they unfold, natural poses, fun shots, informal groups and romantic pictures making full use of the surrounding grounds or gardens wherever possible. The photography typically begins with arriving at the home or hotel room of the bride, to begin capturing all of the fun and excitement of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready. But of course, this is entirely optional and we will gladly meet you at the wedding venue should you prefer. Before the service, we like to photograph the groom and best man and any guests arriving, then we photograph the bridesmaids (if they arrive before the bride) whilst awaiting the arrival of the bride and her father. Should it be allowed, photographs will be taken during the course of the service and at the signing of the register. Once the ceremony is finished, photographs will be taken of the family and groups of friends either in the church grounds, or at the reception venue (usually decided by the size and appearance of the grounds, together with possible time constraints). Then, before you sit down to your wedding breakfast, we will try to find more picturesque settings to create artistic, romantic photography of the bride and groom, as well as capturing candid moments of you and your guests, and the cutting of the cake. Of course, this is only a very basic idea of what will happen. we aim to be flexible and are always happy to satisfy any requests for additional photographs during the day.
Q. How long do you stay on at the wedding?
A. I generally cover photography at the bride’s home or hotel room, the church or civil ceremony, and reception – usually leaving as you and your guests sit down to eat. However, I am happy to stay on for the speeches, the actual cutting of the cake (as opposed to a posed shot) and your first dance for an additional £250, which will include an additional 50 prints of your evening guests.
